Book in for our two-day Animation Course in the May Half Term.
Monday 30th and Tuesday 31st May 10 am to 2.30 pm each day.
This course aims to give an introduction to the Stop Motion technique of creating an animated film. We use a software called ‘Dragonframe’, which was used to create films you may know such as ‘Coraline’ or ‘Shawn the Sheep’. Stop Motion is where we capture many images to make things come to life, they may be characters you’ve designed or just everyday objects.
You’ll learn from a professional animator and work in small teams of maximum, 5 children per group.
Children’s animations will then be uploaded online for the rest of their family and friends to watch!
Filmmaking is a great way to develop skills such as communication, teamwork, creativity, computing and problem-solving! The main thing is it’s so much fun and seeing your ideas coming to life on screen is amazing.
This course is suitable for complete beginners and children who have some experience already in animation. Their skills will be developed and they will be encouraged to use their imaginations to create exciting films.
